Born in Bassett, Nebraska, on March 10, 1932, to Albert H. and Velma M. Keating, Don led a remarkable life defined by service, leadership, and love for family. A decorated combat veteran, he served his country with honor for 25 years in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before his retirement.

Don红桃视频檚 dedication to service extended beyond the military. For over four decades, he was an active member of Optimist International, holding numerous leadership roles and making a lasting impact on countless lives through his unwavering optimism and commitment to youth and community service.

A man of many interests, Don was a self-taught programmer and technology enthusiast long before it became common. He had a lifelong love of country music and was always eager to learn something new, inspiring those around him with his curiosity and enthusiasm.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved son Donald Ray Keating, Jr., and grandson Zachary Ian Randall.

He is survived by his wife, Mae B. Keating of White Rock, SC; brother Henry A. Keating (Bonnie) of North Carolina; daughter Donna E. Keating of South Carolina; son Michael R. Keating (Cheryl) of Texas; and son Bruce B. Keating of Florida.He also leaves behind a cherished legacy in his grandchildren: Alyssa Densham (VA), Jenna Keating (TX), Ryan Lovell (SC), Amanda Taylor (SC), Presley Randall (SC), Tyler Keating (TX), and Kayla Keating (TX), as well as great-grandchildren: Emily Grace Lovell (SC), Jettson Keating (TX), Keegan Densham (VA), Coraline Densham (VA), Caroline Taylor (SC), and Marianne Taylor (SC).

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Don红桃视频檚 name to Optimist International, a cause he held close to his heart.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the joy he brought to others.

Marilyn died on Saturday, April 20, 2024. She was the widow of H. Beckman “Beck” Schroder. Marilyn was born in Red Bank, NJ, and was the daughter of the late Fred Lefler and Minerva Johnson Lefler.
Marilyn attended the College of Charleston where she met Citadel Cadet Beck Schroder, whom she married in 1957 and had a wonderful life together for over 60 years. She later graduated from Coker College. She enjoyed tennis, playing bridge, ACC basketball, and the Atlanta Braves. The true loves of her life were her husband, being the best “Grandy” to her nine grandchildren, and attending any activities in which her grandchildren participated.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Dawn Hill (Tommy) of Columbia, Tracy Carlton (Johnny) of Columbia, and Lori Arledge (Dennis) of Camden; nine grandchildren, John Beckman Arledge (Stephanie), Jacob Henry Arledge (Tarin Dawson), Dennis Gordon Arledge, Jr., Matthew Thomas Hill (Kelly), Andrew Houston Hill (Morgan), William Austin Hill, Georgia Carlton Altus (Jared), Beckman Louise Carlton and John Schroder Carlton; great-grandchildren, Sadie Hill, Hayes Hill, Woods Altus, and Beckman Altus; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ken Perrine; nephew, Danny Perrine; and niece, Sally League.

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and her infant granddaughter, Lindsay Hill.

Robert was born in Bennettsville on December 5, 1949. He was a son of the late Robert Cameron Wright, Sr. and Delphine McInnis Wright. Robert attended Dillon High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Coker College. He worked with Milliken and Company and several other jobs before returning to Clio to work with Jimmy Usher. Robert was a member of Carolina Presbyterian Church. He loved sports and played baseball at Dillon High School and Coker College. He also enjoyed tennis and golf.

Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory, a sister, Winnie Rogers (Mike) of Clio; a brother, Bill Wright (Sadie) of Little Rock; aunt, Cat Hoffman (Kurt) of Kingston, NY; and many other beloved family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Wright.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 11:00 am at Carolina Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Robert’s honor to the Dillon Humane Society 4160 Glasdrum Drive, Little Rock, SC 29567.

Sara Margaret McDougald Stanton, 93, died Sunday, January 24, 2021. Born in Marlboro County she was a daughter of the late Clyde D. and Sarah Frances Rainwater McDougald. She was the widow of W.C. Stanton. Growing up she was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where she became a Sunday School teacher and played the organ. Her family was an integral part of the ministry of Pleasant Grove and she always cared deeply for her “church family.” In later years she and her husband became part of another church family at Cheraw First Baptist Church. In that congregation she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the WMU. She was a graduate of 红桃视频 (at age 46). She was a retired second grade school teacher (1974-1989) from Cheraw Primary. Mrs. Stanton was a member of the South Carolina Education Association. She was a member of the Cheraw Civic League Garden Club which helped establish Centennial Park in Downtown Cheraw. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and yard work. She loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, David Wilson Stanton of Cheraw, SC, Clyde Townsend (Regina) Stanton of Birmingham, AL, Hugh Joyce (Jennie) Stanton of Florence, SC, grandchildren, Michael Stanton, Wilson Stanton, David Stanton, Kate Stanton, sisters, Geneva McGilvray of Moultrie, GA, Laura Ann (Charles) Haley of Cheraw, SC, Sue Frances Lee of Cheraw, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above, also, a son, Prentiss Kinney Stanton, a grandchild, Alexander Stanton, brothers, Boyce McDougald, Richard Edwin McDougald and Gene Clyde McDougald.

Mrs. Stanton will lie in repose 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Cheraw First Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC. Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.

Carolyn was compassionate. She understood early in life that she had a vocation to help others and especially those struggling with mental and psychological pain. She had double compassion for those who did not have the resources to deal with their pain. Carolyn acquired the skills and insight to engage in this vocation by way of a master红桃视频檚 degree and practiced them in the Department of Social Services and as a clinical counselor.

She was married to the late Ernest Poole and is survived by her children, Stephen Poole, Daniel Poole, and Annie Poole and by her grandchildren Allison Grace Seymour and Riley Koepenick; sister Barbara Stutler and brother James Stutler and nieces Emily and Susanna Stutler; and British cousins, Jon, Emma, Jolian, Charlotte, Esme, Rudi, Edward, Alexander, and Sebastian. And by all of us.

Let us thank God for her and her gentle compassion and pray we might do what we can to make this world a little better, especially among those who are in deepest need.

Born to William Thomas Phillips, Sr. and Sallie Coker Phillips on February 12, 1929, in the Cedar Swamp Community of Williamsburg County. She was a member of Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church, where she served as Sunday School teacher, Church Treasurer, Historian and member of the PPRC. Ruth attended Cedar Swamp School, was a graduate of Kingstree High School and attended Coker College. She was employed by the Exchange Bank of Kingstree and the SC Department of Social Services. She loved her church, her large family, her church family, gardening, traveling, caring for others, making lemon pies, and especially loved reading.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters, Mary Phillips Epps, Virginia Coker Phillips, Lula Phillips, and twin sister Naomi P. Ward and brothers, Cecil Phillips, Wilbur Phillips, Leslie Phillips, Coker Phillips, W. T. Phillips, Henry Phillips, and Jack Phillips.

Surviving are her four children, Leon (Carolyn) Grayson of Kingstree, Sarah V. Grayson of Litchfield , C. Allen Grayson of Kingstree, and Myra Grayson (Steve) Nuttall of Georgetown; four grandchildren: BetC (Grier) Copeland, Bart (Carrie) Grayson, Tish Grayson and Sean (Heather) Grayson; five great grandchildren: Grayson, Carter, and Peyton Copeland, Jonathan and Stephen Grayson; and her special niece, Doris P. Cline.

Graveside funeral services will be at 6 PM Friday, July 24, 2020 at Cedar Swamp Cemetery and will be officiated by Rev. Tommy Conway, Phil Ward, and Hank Watson. The family will receive friends after the service at the Grayson Barn. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Born in Hartsville, SC, he was the son of the late Luther and Jacqueline Redic Hall. Arnold was married for 54 years to his high school sweetheart, Janet Williams. A graduate of Coker College, he owned Classic Carriers Trucking Company for many years. He was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church, where he previously served on the church红桃视频檚 transportation committee and enjoyed performing with the handbell choir. In retirement, Arnold and Janet enjoyed traveling and playing golf.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Janet, of the home; son, Arnold Bryan Hall, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Shannon Hall of Charlotte, NC; grandsons, William Hall of Oxford, MS and Matthew Hall of Atlanta, GA; and sister Annette (Claude) Wint of Hartsville.
