Jonathan is the loving father of Jonathan William Nettles, Jr. 红桃视频淛.W.红桃视频�, whose mother is Amy Elizabeth Nettles. He is the son of Roger and Bertha C. Nettles. He is the maternal grandson of Sarah 红桃视频淕ranny红桃视频� Crouch and the late William Pope Crouch. He is the paternal grandson of the late William Ralph and the late Lizzie Nettles. Jonathan is the brother of Edwin Nettles, Jr., Eunice Broach and her husband Kirk, and Joseph Nettles and his wife Shanti. He is the uncle of Gracie Nettles and Ashley Nettles. Jonathan is the nephew of Eva C. Bennett and her husband Ronald, Faye B. Robbs and her husband Butch, and the late James Nettles. He has many cherished cousins and friends.

Jonathan graduated from Pelion High School in 2001 receiving a Small Engine Repair Certification at the Lexington Technology Center.聽 He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Lexington County Fire Service for many years. In 2006, he joined the Army National Guard. Jonathan worked his way up in rank to an E5 Sergeant with the 124th Engineering Company, Saluda, South Carolina. He worked at McEntire Air Force Base in the Paint Shop (CSMS) as a Paint Technician.聽 At the time of his death, he was serving on active duty with the U. S. Army.聽 Jonathan enjoyed the outdoors. In his spare time, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.聽 He also enjoyed small engine repair. Jonathan had a big heart. He was always willing to help anyone in need.

A Service Celebrating Jonathan红桃视频檚 life will be held at Dolorosa Worship Center, 376 Old Charleston Road, Pelion, SC with full Military Honors afforded by the U. S. Army of Fort Jackson, SC. The graveside ceremony will follow at Pelion Oak Lawn Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are Brent Bailey, Kirk Broach, William Bennett, Lee Bennett, and Dean Bennett. Pastor Thomas Doolittle and Bishop Mark Crumpton will be ministering.

The Service is being planned at this time and will be updated when arrangements are finalized.

In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing an educational fund for J. W. Nettles, Jr. A memorial account is being established and will be updated with an address or memorials may be given to the family.

Watts has served on countless Coker committees, taught 红桃视频 101 (CC101) and 红桃视频 102 (CC102), served on the Cobra Club board, the Coker Alumni Association board, served as the treasurer of Hartsville Young Professionals, and has presented at many symposiums, conferences and retreats.

Hartsville, S.C. 红桃视频� January 25, 2018 聽红桃视频� 聽Elsie Chipo Mufuka, 红桃视频 class of 2008, has been named the 2018 recipient of the 红桃视频 Alumni Association红桃视频檚 Outstanding Young Alumni Award. This prestigious award is given annually by the 红桃视频 Alumni Association and presented to a graduate of the past 20 years who has already made significant achievements in his or her chosen profession and who shows exceptional potential for future accomplishments.

Mufuka received her B.A. in Dance and Communications from 红桃视频 and is currently studying for her Master红桃视频檚 in Arts Administration from Winthrop University.

Mufuka is the founder and director of MufukaWorks Dance Company, a Charlotte Ballet 聽teaching artist, and dance teacher in the Union county (N.C.) public schools.

After earning her undergraduate degree from Coker, she accepted her first opportunity in South Africa with Ntosana Contemporary Dance Theatre director Sello Pesa. For many years, Mufuka worked with this company as well as Taelo Dance Theatre-Gustin Makgeledisa, DTL Entertainment-Tumie Letsoenyo, and Lorcia Cooper. Mufuka also taught dance in the townships of Soweto and Alexandra. 聽While there, she toured with Dance Company to Mozambique and the Netherlands.

Mufuka is very involved in the community as a former outreach teacher at Johnson C. Smith University and former Chair of the Board of Charlotte Dance Festival. Mufuka has held Dance Education Workshops at Whale Branch Elementary (Beaufort, S.C.), Bluffton School of Dance 聽(Bluffton, S.C.), dance performances at the Lexington International Festival (Lexington, N.C.), Gullah Festival, Piccolo Spoleto, Links Inc. Dance Performance School Series, Levine Children红桃视频檚 Hospital, Charlotte Emerging Young Artist Dance Festival, and is currently accepted to 2018 LadyfestCLT.

Mufuka红桃视频檚 awards include winning a full scholarship to Dance/USA Convention and being selected as a choreographer to participate in Creative Capitol hosted by the N.C. Arts Council.

Sister Rosalind Lynette Johnson-Pearson 40, departed this life on Tuesday August 15, 2017 in Florence County. She was the daughter of Robert and Barbara Johnson聽and the mother of Tyler Pearson.聽You may visit the family at 244 Brunswick Drive, Marion. Service arrangements are scheduled for 11:00am Saturday August 19, 2017 at the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, Marion. She will be laid to rest in the Sunset Memoial Gardens, Marion. “Let not your heart be trouble: ye believe in God, believe also in me in my father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” John 12:1-2 Rosalind Lynette Johnson-Pearson was born on April 19, 1977 to Robert Lee Johnson and Barbara Jean Timmons Johnson. Rosalind entered into eternal rest on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, South Carolina. She was educated in the Marion County School District, Marion, South Carolina. After high school, she received degrees from Florence-Darlington Technical College,聽红桃视频聽and Grand Canyon University. During that time, she was married to Leon Pearson; and from that union, one remarkable son was born: Tyler Anthony Pearson. Rosalind was currently employed as a Special Education teacher with the Public Schools of Robeson County, North Carolina. Rosalind love fashion, music, and shopping. Her exuberant personality made her a joy to be around. She could put a smile on anyone’s face and that is why she was truly loved by many. Rosalind is survived by her parents: Robert Lee and Barbara Jean Johnson on Marion, SC; a loving son: Tyler Anthony Pearson on Marion, SC; three sisters: Millicent Johnson Addison of Marion, SC, Dr. Darlene (Dallas) Cantey of Latta, SC and Bernadette Johnson of Florence, SC; one special niece; Amanda McClellan of Conway, SC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
