Courtney Barton Ingle named the 2017-2018 Lexington District Three Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Batesburg-Leesville Middle School teacher Courtney Ingle on being named the 2017-2018 District Three Teacher of the Year during the DistrictºìÌÒÊÓƵ™s annual Teacher of the Year Banquet this evening at Southern Occasions. Courtney was selected from four finalists including Randi Curry from B-L Primary School, Jessica McCleskey from B-L Elementary School and Paul Spence from B-L High School.
In addition to a host of other prizes, Courtney was also given the keys to a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, courtesy of Herlong Chevrolet-Buick of Batesburg-Leesville. Courtney will have the privilege of driving the vehicle for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year. This is the first time in Lexington School District Three history that a prize of this magnitude has been awarded to a District Three Teacher of the Year. According to officials with South Carolina Future Minds, the vehicle donation also makes Lexington Three one of only three districts statewide that provides a car to its District Teacher of the Year winner.
Courtney will go on to compete in the South Carolina State Teacher of the Year competition, which begins in January.
