Tommie Long McClain, 87, formerly of McSwain Dr. and wife of the late Kenneth McClain, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018.
Born in Seneca, she was a daughter of the late Thompson and Allie Long.
Mrs. McClain was a graduate of ºìÌÒÊÓƵ. She taught elementary school at Sarah Collins, Lake Forest, and Buena Vista and was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Patti OºìÌÒÊÓƵ™Connell of Greenville (Joe), Suzanne Neal of Greer (fiancé, Chuck Gregory), Sidney McClain of Pelzer (Jo), and David McClain of Belton (Abby); 13 grandchildren, Keri Emily, Chad, Lindsey, Maxcy, Jennifer, Jessica, Katie, Jonathan, Caleb, Paul, Luke, and Erin; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Quattlebaum of Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jamie Neal.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
